About This Image

Two Ford F-250 pickups stand on open ground with mountains behind them, one carrying a slide-in camper and the other fitted with a yellow front-mounted snow plow.

1982 Ford F-250 factory specifications and options

The archive identifies this photograph as an F-250 XLT with a camper package and an F-250 XL with a snow-plow package. It shows a slide-in camper and a front-mounted plow. The references below concern applicable U.S. F-250 production combinations; they do not prove hidden equipment fitted to either truck.

Engine families
The 1982 U.S. F-250 production range included inline-six and V8 engine choices. Ford lists separate applications for two-wheel-drive, four-wheel-drive, regular F-250 and F-250 Heavy Duty configurations. These are range choices, not identification of either pictured truck’s engine; the exact powertrains are not established by this photograph.
1982 Ford Pickup catalog, PDF page 14 (printed page 16), F-250 and F-250 HD two-wheel-drive columns; 1982 Ford 4-Wheeler catalog, PDF page 5 (printed page 6), F-250 and F-250 HD columns; 1982 Ford Recreation Vehicles, PDF page 5 (printed pages 8–9), F-250 two-wheel-drive tables and PDF page 6 (printed pages 10–11), F-250 four-wheel-drive tables.
Automatic-transmission availability
SelectShift automatic transmission was offered for applicable 1982 F-250 configurations. The pickup and four-wheeler tables list automatic alternatives, and the recreation guide identifies automatic-equipped F-250 combinations. Engine, cab, drivetrain and loading-package restrictions apply. The photograph does not establish either truck’s transmission.

Original Ford publications

Both entries were checked against three distinct original publication families. Numerical power, dimensions, GVWR, payload and towing limits are withheld; a camper or plow does not establish a truck’s loading rating or exact factory equipment. Regular F-250 and F-250 Heavy Duty specifications must not be interchanged. The matching original pickup brochure cover and complete PDF appear beneath the main image, separately from the physical art print offered for sale.

About the Artwork

Artwork in this collection comes from the Ford Motor Company Archives, The Henry Ford Museum, the Carroll Shelby Archives, and the collections of acclaimed photographers and painters from around the world. Reproduction rights are reserved by the respective copyright owners.

Framed Print

Our framed prints feature a black, hand-stained solid wood frame with a white mat, museum-quality paper, archival inks, Acrylite glazing, and hanging hardware. The frame features a slim 0.8-inch face and projects 1.3 inches from the wall, creating a clean, contemporary shadow-box effect. Made in the USA or Europe, depending on your location.

Stretched Canvas

Our stretched canvas prints are produced on acid-free, pH-neutral, and fade-resistant canvas. Each canvas is hand-glued to solid wood stretcher bars and stretched over 1.25-inch-thick pine bars. Mounting brackets are included. Made in the USA or Europe, depending on your location.

Giclée Art Print

Our Giclée prints are produced using premium 200gsm semi-gloss paper and high-quality archival inks. Each print includes a white border around the perimeter.

For the 40 x 60 size, we use 250gsm museum-quality archival paper with an off-white, uncoated finish.

The listed size refers to the overall paper dimensions. The image is printed proportionally within the selected paper size. Made in the USA or Europe, depending on your location.

ChromaLuxe

ChromaLuxe prints use a state-of-the-art coating process that infuses the image directly onto sheets of alloy metal. The result is photography with an exceptional combination of vibrancy, clarity, and durability.

Each print arrives ready to hang. An alloy subframe on the back allows the artwork to float away from the wall for a sleek, modern appearance. This is the finest-quality print we offer. Made in the USA.
