About This Image

A period Ford advertisement headlined "Don't experiment - Just buy a FORD", promoting the Ford Model F with an illustration of five passengers in a side-entrance tonneau.

What Is in This Advertisement?

A high-contrast black-and-white page. The headline runs across the top in two lines of white lettering, with FORD set very large at the right. Below it a halftone illustration shows the car in front three-quarter view with five occupants: two women in elaborate hats, two men in peaked motoring caps and a child, the driver's hands on a tiller-height wheel, a brass lamp at the scuttle and another beside the bonnet. Under the image runs a block of body copy: "In addition to Henry Ford's originality of design there is more actual value of material and workmanship in FORD MODEL 'F' than in any other automobile ever built at the price." Smaller paragraphs add that it "seats five people, climbs hills on high speed, has a roomy side entrance tonneau, is light, strong and rides like a Yacht", warns the reader not to be deceived by "Horse Power TALK", and offers a maintenance booklet.

What Was the Model F?

A larger, more modern development of the Model A and Model C, with a two-cylinder engine and chain drive on an 84-inch wheelbase. Production ran from 1905 to 1906, and the price rose from $1,000 to around $1,200 before the model was dropped (Ford Model F, Conceptcarz).

Why Attack "Horse Power TALK"?

Because the market was crowded with unproven makers quoting numbers. Ford's argument here is not speed but risk: do not experiment, buy the thing that works, and come and watch what the car actually does rather than reading a rating. It is an early, very direct version of a claim the company would make for decades.

Who Is This Print For?

This early Ford advertisement print suits brass era collectors, Model F and Model A owners, advertising and typography enthusiasts, and studies, offices or hallways where a strong black-and-white page works. The heavy contrast makes it one of the boldest documents in the archive at any size. Choose framed print, stretched canvas, ChromaLuxe metal or Giclée.

Our stretched canvas prints are produced on acid-free, pH-neutral, and fade-resistant canvas. Each canvas is hand-glued to solid wood stretcher bars and stretched over 1.25-inch-thick pine bars. Mounting brackets are included. Made in the USA or Europe, depending on your location.

Giclée Art Print

Our Giclée prints are produced using premium 200gsm semi-gloss paper and high-quality archival inks. Each print includes a white border around the perimeter.

For the 40 x 60 size, we use 250gsm museum-quality archival paper with an off-white, uncoated finish.

The listed size refers to the overall paper dimensions. The image is printed proportionally within the selected paper size. Made in the USA or Europe, depending on your location.

ChromaLuxe

ChromaLuxe prints use a state-of-the-art coating process that infuses the image directly onto sheets of alloy metal. The result is photography with an exceptional combination of vibrancy, clarity, and durability.

Each print arrives ready to hang. An alloy subframe on the back allows the artwork to float away from the wall for a sleek, modern appearance. This is the finest-quality print we offer. Made in the USA.
