What Is in This Photograph?

A three-quarter front view at road level, taken with a slow shutter from the far side of the centre line. The truck is in a blue-grey metallic, single rear wheel, crew cab with a long bed, and SUPER DUTY is stamped across the leading edge of the hood. The current grille with its stacked bars and the wide chrome bumper fill the near side of the frame. Behind it a twin-axle dump trailer carries a compact yellow loader strapped down over the tailboard. Pines and a rock face streak past on the left, and the yellow centre line runs away to the right.

What Is the F-350 Super Duty?

The one-ton truck in Ford's heavy duty range, sold between the F-250 and the dual-rear-wheel F-450. The top engine is a 6.7-litre High Output Power Stroke V8 diesel rated at 500 horsepower, with a high-performance turbocharger using a cooled compressor and a stainless steel exhaust manifold (Ford towing information, The Autopian). Conventional towing ratings for the F-350 reach 28,000 pounds at the top trim and start around 18,000 pounds (Towing Specs).

Because an unladen heavy duty pickup tells you nothing.
