About This Image
About This Image
A 2024 Ford F-150 Raptor R head-on at dusk, lamps lit, dust drifting across the desert floor behind it with a peak on the horizon.
What Is in This Photograph?
Straight-on symmetry: the full width of the truck fills the centre of the frame, headlamps and fog lamps burning, the three amber marker lamps glowing across the grille above the FORD lettering. The light is gone from the sky but still warm at the horizon, and dust hangs in the air on both sides. Shooting a Raptor R dead level and dead centre is a deliberate choice. It makes the truck read as an object rather than as a vehicle in motion.
What Is a Raptor R?
It is the V8 Raptor. Where the standard truck uses a 450-horsepower 3.5-litre High-Output EcoBoost V6, the Raptor R carries a supercharged 5.2-litre V8 of 315 cubic inches, related to the Shelby GT500 engine, rated at 720 horsepower for 2024 after a 20-horsepower increase. Everything else that makes a Raptor a Raptor stays: the long-travel suspension, the Fox 3.1 Dual Live Valve dampers, and 37-inch tyre availability.
Why Does the Raptor R Exist?
Because Ram built the 702-horsepower TRX. The Raptor had defined the factory desert truck since 2010 and the R was Ford's answer in a power contest it had previously declined to enter, retaining the same chassis and suspension philosophy while adding the engine. The 2024 update gave it the refreshed front end seen here.
Who Is This Print For?
This Raptor R print suits F-150 and Raptor owners, off-road and desert racing enthusiasts, truck dealerships and garage interiors. A head-on dusk photograph is about presence rather than detail, which makes it effective at scale on a large wall. Choose framed print, stretched canvas, ChromaLuxe metal or Giclée.
