What Is Happening in This Photograph?

The Mustang is stopped in the pit lane with several crew members around it: one crouched at the front wheel with an air gun, one leaning over the bonnet with a cloth, another low at the opposite side. Air lines snake across the pit apron in the foreground.

Why Is Laguna Seca Significant in Trans-Am History?

Laguna Seca was one of the premier road courses on the Trans-Am calendar, and its natural amphitheatre made it a favourite with both spectators and photographers.

In 1970 Bud Moore Engineering ran Ford's only factory Trans-Am effort, with Parnelli Jones and George Follmer in the Boss 302s. Across the season they took the manufacturers' title from Roger Penske's Sunoco AMC Javelins.
