This official factory photograph shows a yellow 2017 Ford GT in profile at dusk, the sky banded from orange to deep blue above a dark mountain ridge.

About This Image

A yellow 2017 Ford GT in strict profile at dusk, the sky banded from orange at the horizon to deep blue above a dark mountain ridge.

What Is in This Photograph?

A wide frame shot square to the car's flank from about wheel height. The GT is in bright yellow with black wheels, the body reduced by the light to its essential shapes: a low pointed nose, a narrow teardrop cabin with a black roof panel, and the two flying buttresses that run back from the roof to the rear wings, with the daylight gap between them left open. The doors carry deep scalloped channels that feed air to the rear, and the rocker and splitter are exposed carbon. A small rear spoiler is raised at the tail, with a red lamp cluster and open ducts behind the rear wheel. Both wheels are black multi-spoke alloys on low-profile tyres, the rear noticeably wider. The car stands on plain tarmac behind a chain-link fence with red and white barriers, and beyond it a long mountain ridge is silhouetted against the last of the sunset.

What Is the 2017 Ford GT?

A carbon-fibre mid-engined road car built to homologate Ford's return to Le Mans, powered by a 3.5-litre twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 rated at 647 horsepower through a seven-speed dual-clutch transaxle, with rear-wheel drive and a limited-slip differential (Ford GT technical specifications). Fully active aerodynamics and suspension helped it reach 216 mph, the highest top speed of any Ford production car to that date (Ford). The V6 was chosen partly because its narrowness allowed a more aerodynamically efficient body than any V8 would have (Gear Patrol).

Why Shoot It Flat in Profile?

Because the profile is the argument. The whole point of this car is that air is routed through it rather than around it, and only a straight side view shows the open gap between the buttresses, the depth of the door channel and how little of the body is actually solid. Dusk light removes surface reflections that would otherwise fill those voids and hide them.

Who Is This Print For?

This Ford GT print suits GT owners and supercar collectors, design and engineering audiences who care about aerodynamics, and modern interiors that can take a strong yellow against a dark sky. The long horizontal composition suits a wide wall above a desk, console or bench. Choose framed print, stretched canvas, ChromaLuxe metal or Gicl\u00e9e.

Framed Print

Our framed prints feature a black, hand-stained solid wood frame with a white mat, museum-quality paper, archival inks, Acrylite glazing, and hanging hardware. The frame features a slim 0.8-inch face and projects 1.3 inches from the wall, creating a clean, contemporary shadow-box effect. Made in the USA or Europe, depending on your location.

Stretched Canvas

Our stretched canvas prints are produced on acid-free, pH-neutral, and fade-resistant canvas. Each canvas is hand-glued to solid wood stretcher bars and stretched over 1.25-inch-thick pine bars. Mounting brackets are included. Made in the USA or Europe, depending on your location.

Giclée Art Print

Our Giclée prints are produced using premium 200gsm semi-gloss paper and high-quality archival inks. Each print includes a white border around the perimeter.

For the 40 x 60 size, we use 250gsm museum-quality archival paper with an off-white, uncoated finish.

The listed size refers to the overall paper dimensions. The image is printed proportionally within the selected paper size. Made in the USA or Europe, depending on your location.

ChromaLuxe

ChromaLuxe prints use a state-of-the-art coating process that infuses the image directly onto sheets of alloy metal. The result is photography with an exceptional combination of vibrancy, clarity, and durability.

Each print arrives ready to hang. An alloy subframe on the back allows the artwork to float away from the wall for a sleek, modern appearance. This is the finest-quality print we offer. Made in the USA.
