Publication notes and limits
The engine booklet (D) has separate application tables for Ford passenger cars and for Thunderbird hardtop and convertible models. The entries above use its Thunderbird table on printed page 17. A Thunderbird-named engine in the Ford passenger-car table does not by itself establish Thunderbird-car fitment.
Bore, stroke, compression ratios, transmission combinations, body dimensions, construction details and individual equipment items remain withheld here where three distinct applicable publication families have not been inspected for the same claim. The 52-page service-manual sample is not a complete manual. Related retail scans count as one family; French-market material is excluded from U.S. fitment evidence.
These entries describe published offerings, not the equipment installed in an individual archive vehicle. U.S. production, prototype, competition, export and Canadian-market material are kept separate. Horsepower figures are period advertised ratings; no modern net equivalence, engine speed or introduction date is inferred. VINs, exact build dates, paint codes and license plates are not used to infer vehicle specifications.

The archive descriptions and visible body styles were checked against the year-specific Ford literature: a hardtop in side view and a convertible with its top lowered in rear view. These photographs do not establish engine choice, hidden equipment, paint code or an exact build or capture date.
