Ford Knowledge Base / Falcon / 1968
Explore the U.S.-market 1968 Ford Falcon through original factory publications and period photographs. Compare verified engine and comfort options, then check the catalog edition against the car you are researching.
Start with the right market and production date. Option availability is not proof of the equipment fitted to a photographed car. Match the body style, dated factory literature and surviving build records. This entry covers U.S. passenger cars and conventional station wagons; Australian XT Falcons and prototypes require separate references.
Why the catalog edition matters
The original WO57 Falcon catalog lists the 302 V-8 and a four-speed manual for V-8 sedans and coupes. The W365 revision, marked December 1967, lists three engine choices and omits those two offerings. These are documented differences between publications, rather than evidence of an exact production cutoff. A brochure alone cannot establish how an individual car left the factory.
Compare original catalog PDF pp. 2 and 7 with revised catalog PDF pp. 2 and 7. The revision is identified on its final PDF page. Both editions are linked below and count as one publication family in the checks.
