Publication notes and limits

The service supplement is the September 1962 first printing; the AMA sheets inspected here are dated October 22, 1962. The sample appends 1962 base-manual pages from PDF 20 onward. Those pages are not represented as inspected 1963 specifications.

Horsepower, engine-speed and torque ratings, compression ratios, optional high-performance induction, exhaust packaging and changeover timing remain outside the verified set. The AMA general and power-team sheets give different high-performance engine-speed figures. The early supplement’s exhaust description is retained as dated evidence, without assuming that it covers every later production car.

The Limited Edition Landau advertisement is kept separate from the ordinary Landau offering; no worldwide or U.S. production total is inferred from it.

Entries describe published U.S. production offerings, not the equipment installed in any photographed car. Prototype, competition, export and Canadian-market evidence is kept separate. Duplicate or revised scans count within their publication family. No engine, hidden equipment, paint code or exact build or capture date is inferred from photographs.

Archive photographs

Photographs are matched using the archive’s model-year description and visible body style, checked against the year-specific literature. They are not evidence of engine, option content or an exact build date.
